Challenge participants build a bridge Disaster Relief Challenge

The 2008 Disaster Relief Challenge took place on 26-27 April in Cuffley, Hertfordshire, and was a huge success.  Teams of challengers raised funds and took part in a number of activities simulating those necessary in real disaster response situations.

The Challenge was a fantastic opportunity to raise vital funds to support RedR's work, learn technical skills necessary for disaster relief, develop an understanding of operational planning in disaster response scenarios and build teamworking leadership and logistical skills.

Mark Tindale, currently working for RedR Patron Arup, took part last year and commented that: “The challenge simulated the sort of work that often needs to be done in the field and certainly raised many of the issues that relief workers face”.

The event is also offered as a bespoke corporate challenge. For more information contact Oli.
