As a Member of RedR you will join our register of carefully selected and trained professionals with suitable skills and experience to work for humanitarian agencies around the world. Members include logisticians, medical practitioners, water and sanitation specialists, surveyors and administrators along with many others.
Our Membership is only open to those with a significant contribution to make to humanitarian and development work. As well as suitable skills, professional experience (5 years) and field experience (2 years), you must have the ability to cope with unfamiliar and dangerous situations.
If you are already an aid worker with the necessary professional skills and experience, you can apply for Membership. If successful, you will become eligible for assignments, gain professional recognition and enjoy networking and knowledge- sharing opportunities. When a disaster hits, you may be called on to provide specialist support to the international humanitarian community.
If you have professional experience and would like to become a relief worker, we can provide the training needed to adapt your skills for field work during humanitarian emergencies. Over time, this can lead to opportunities to join our register.
If you are a graduate, undergraduate, or looking for a career change but lack the necessary professional experience to become an aid worker, email us and find out about our popular one-day workshop – So You Think You Want To Be A Relief Worker?
