HumanSurge and RedR UK sign MoU
14 November 2016
RedR UK is delighted to announce that we have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with HumanSurge, an innovative online platform aimed at enhancing humanitarian surge response on a global level.
HumanSurge brings together humanitarian professionals of all disciplines on one online platform, with the aim of improving the quality and timeliness of disaster response. Professionals can indicate their skills, availability and deployment preferences, connecting with recruiters in real time and on-demand.
HumanSurge aims to be the leading global emergency roster for humanitarian responders. Over 2,000 humanitarian professionals are already active on the site, alongside 15 international organisations who have signed up to recruit through the service. Registration for professionals is free, and takes a matter of minutes.
“RedR Membership allows professional humanitarians to gain recognition of their skills and experience,” says RedR’s Membership Officer Ellie Munari. “It now comes with an added advantage: under the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding, RedR Members who register with HumanSurge will be able to add a RedR badge to their profile, enhancing their visibility and ensuring that their profile stands out to recruiters.”
