We have a long history of providing safety, welfare, management and technical training to aid workers operating across Eastern Africa. Through training programmes in Sudan and via our UK-based bespoke service we have equipped thousands of humanitarian workers in countries as diverse Ethiopia, Uganda, Tanzania, Chad and Somalia with the expertise they need to their jobs to the highest possible standard.
That means communities living at the sharp end of natural and man-made disasters are better supported in times of crisis.
Whether delivering skills in Water, Sanitation and Hygiene promotion, managing people and projects in emergencies, cluster coordination, writing funding proposals or staying safe in hostile environments, our new training centre in Nairobi, Kenya, brings all of our humanitarian expertise together in one regional hub.
Never has there been a more urgent time to ensure aid workers responding to food crises, or natural emergencies, or conflict have the essential skills they need.
The humanitarian situation across East Africa is now one of the most urgent in the world. Ongoing droughts and unpredictable weather patterns – coupled with protracted conflicts in many regions – have left millions of people malnourished, without secure livelihoods and increasingly susceptible to natural and man-made crises.
Our Kenya office is based in Nairobi.
Our bespoke training service, based in Nairobi, works with aid agencies, NGOs, UN clusters and community based organisations to deliver expert humanitarian skills, tailor-made to specific organisational, cultural or geographical requirements.
