Want to fundraise for us but not sure if a big event like the London Marathon is quite right for you? Not to worry, there are hundreds of other ways you can get involved. You can dye your hair, organise a raffle, go skydiving, cycle across America, have a cake sale, or have a party. The possibilities are endless.
Getting started
- Decide what you are going to do – perhaps bathing in a tub of baked beans, bungee jumping or a organising a pub quiz at your local
- Get in touch with us. Tell us your plans and request a fundraising pack and any other fundraising materials you may need
- Set up your online Justgiving fundraising page. Then post your Justgiving link on your facebook page or on your twitter feed
- Ask for support from your friends, family, colleagues and any clubs or associations you belong to
- Ask your company to sponsor you or match your fundraising
- Contact your local newspaper, radio station or website with details of your event
- Tell your sponsors about Gift Aid so that we can reclaim the tax on their donations at no extra cost to them
- Do your event!
- Send us photos and tell us how your event went so that we can thank you on this website and in our newsletter
Whatever the activity or event you organise or take part in to raise funds for us, we will provide help, support and encouragement.
How you can make a difference
Every donation, no matter what the amount, will help us ensure that relief workers are able to respond to major rapid-onset emergencies like earthquakes and floods.
£30 could give expert advice to two relief workers in remote locations through our Technical Support Service
£100 could pay for us to quickly identify the most suitable person available for immediate deployment when the next emergency happens
£300 could fund a days’ training for 15 Sudanese relief workers
