Disaster Relief Challenge

Disaster relief challenge

A major disaster has hit and you are the first person on the ground…what do you do?

If you’re looking for an away day with a difference, sign up to RedR’s Disaster Relief Challenge. It's an intense and exciting event during which your team of four will encounter some of the extreme situations faced by aid workers in the field.

Are you physically and mentally sharp enough to bring home the Challenge Cup? Take the challenge and become an aid worker for a day!

Why you should sign up!

  • It’s a challenge for your mind as well as your muscles
  • It’s great for team building and better than any generic staff away day!
  • PLUS – you’ll have loads of fun!
  • AND… you’ll be raising awareness and supporting RedR at the same time!

The Disaster Relief Challenge is a unique challenge that you can only do with RedR. The challenge requires you to be in teams of 4 and raise £2,000 per team in sponsorship.

Competing against other teams, you will need to work together to solve logistical problems, navigate precarious terrain and dangerous conditions, and be tested on how well you respond when faced with critical emergency situations.

When: 16-17 June (including an evening BBQ with an option to camp)

Where: Cuffley, Hertfordshire (40 minutes by train from Moorgate or King’s Cross)

Who: The day is particularly geared towards engineering and construction challenges, but the Disaster Relief Challenge is suitable for anyone who wants to experience some of the challenges faced by aid workers in the field. Each team must be able to raise £2,000 between them (which could include matched funding by employers) before the event.
