Who: Anyone who wants to be physically challenged, have a great day and raise money for a fantastic cause!
The Bupa Great North Run is the world's largest half marathon. Starting in the heart of Newcastle city centre and finishing by the sea in South Shields, the atmosphere is unbeatable. We need 25 RedR runners will take to the streets of Newcastle-upon-Tyne alongside 54,000 other runners. Will you be one of them?
Want a place?
If you didn’t manage to get a place in the ballot, RedR has 25 running slots up for grabs.
All you have to do to apply is complete our application form and send it back to us. You'll be asked why you would like to join the team and how you plan to reach your fundraising target – but don’t worry – we’ll give you lots of help to make sure you reach your goal! We only have a limited number of places so make sure you get your form in quickly!
If successful, you will pay a £30 registration fee directly to the event organisers. We ask that you commit to raising a minimum of £300 to support the work of RedR in the UK and abroad.
Already got a place?
If you've already secured your own place through the event ballot you can complete our application form to join the RedR Running team and gain access to all of the same benefits as a charity place runner.
Important: By signing up as an Own Place runner we will not provide a place in the event. You must have already received confirmation of your place and paid your registration fee directly to the event organisers.

Right from the word go we will be on hand to provide all the support you need, whether that’s helping you to fundraise and meet your targets, or just have a chat about how your training is going. When it comes to the big day, we’ll be on hand to cheer you on your way – helping to put a spring in your step and get you across that finish line!
