Asim Jan has over 10 years of experience in the humanitarian sector. He has designed, convened and facilitated customized training courses for international NGO’s, local communities etc. in several countries in a wide range of subjects on humanitarian sector security and safety.
Asim Jan has worked as humanitarian security and safety staff with IFRC, ICRC, UNICEF, USAID, RedR UK etc. in conflict and post-conflict zones around the world.
Asim Jan has managed aid projects security and understands well the challenges and complexities that hinder broader context of humanitarian action. He is conversant with complexities of mitigating risks and threats in challenging environments. He also has significant experience of how insecurity affects the effective delivery of aid. Asim Jan’s particular areas of expertise include security management, safety on the move, abduction and kidnapping, security planning and crisis management.
By taking advantage of his diverse experiences as a humanitarian professional and trainer, Asim is able to tailor training to the context in question and participants’ requirements and delivers the training programs in interesting and more practical ways.
