In the past 10 years Cecile de Milliano has gained experience in development and emergency settings. She has worked with international organisations such as CARE International, the Red Cross, Overseas Development Institute, Plan International and UNICEF, in locations such as: Burkina Faso, Indonesia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Bolivia, Ecuador, Lao PDR and Zimbabwe.
Cecile’s driving force is increasing people’s resilience in disaster contexts. Through her work and her PhD degree, she has gained knowledge and skills on Resilience, Disaster Risk Reduction, gender- age- and disability sensitive programming, children in emergencies and monitoring & evaluation.
Drawing on her professional, academic and training background, Cecile is skilled to employ interactive, participatory methods during training sessions. She has extensive experience designing and delivering training at organisational and community levels and tailoring the training to different audiences. In a dynamic and engaging way she supports participants to acquire new, or modify and reinforce their existing knowledge, behaviours, skills and values.
