Gillian Dacey

Gillian is an independent consultant in emergency preparedness and disaster risk reduction, with more than 20 years in health emergency preparedness and response.  She has experience in disaster response, including urban search and rescue (the Iran, Pakistan, and Indonesia earthquakes), and Ebola logistics and evaluation.  She is a registered paramedic and also teaches community-based disaster preparedness programmes and conflict trauma for humanitarian workers.

Gillian is also studying for her PhD – “Self-protective behaviour during earthquake shaking”
