Jane Davies has practical humanitarian experience gained from working in the response to the 2007 Peru earthquake. Before this she spent about 8 years working in development – initially teaching and training teachers in Kenya, followed by 4 years as Senior Education Officer with ActionAid, and several months managing an education project in Peru.
Finally, she has an MA in Education and International Development as well as a Post Graduate Certificate in Education.
Jane has extensive experience of designing and delivering training courses and workshops for many different audiences. Her courses focus on active participation, with a variety of activities to cater for all preferred learning styles and to reinforce learning.
She has been working for RedR as a trainer since 2008 and currently trains on several courses. Jane’s involvement with RedR has included designing courses for the UK and Sudan offices, evaluation of Camp Management training, and delivering bespoke training for WASH Cluster (South Sudan), Shelter Cluster (Gaza) and MSF Holland.
