Jayroselyn Amancio is. a nurse by profession and have worked with international humanitarian NGOs such as Philippine Red Cross, Relief International, UNICEF and Samaritan’s Purse for 8 years.
For 6 years with Philippine Red Cross, Jayroselyn traines on Basic Life Support and Standard First Aid in which she conducts training for health care providers and lay rescuers in communities, companies and organization. She also has an experience as a member of the Emergency Response Team providing pre-hospital care and facilitator for Community based health and first aid, Disaster Management and Participatory Hygiene and Sanitation Transformation (PHAST). She has worked for the Typhoon Haiyan Response in Tacloban City Philippines as an Administration Officer, Finance Officer, Reporting Officer and Coordination and Planning Officer.
Jayroselyn worked as a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for 4 months with Relief International and 11 months as WASH information Management Officer with UNICEF. Presently, she worked with Samaritan’s Purse as WASH Monitoring and Evaluation Officer. As an M&E Officer she collected, consolidated and managed all important information and data related to the program.
As a trainer, she uses her work experience to help participants understood actual field situation and find ways to resolve different challenges when working in a humanitarian NGOs especially during the emergency phase.
