Lucy Kwe Manasseh is a Freelance Humanitarian Trainer, based in Kenya, who has been involved with Redr UK since 2012. She has also trained in francophone nations such as Congo and Cote D’Ivoire. She is passionate about humanitarian security and has been involved in building the capacity of aid workers in Safety & Security, First Aid as well as humanitarian principles. She has about ten (10) years hands on experience in the humanitarian sector as a generalist (having worked both in Kenyan informal settlements and ASAL regions) and is an alumnus of the Humanitarian Leadership Development Programme run by Save the Children International. She has also been involved in the Kenyan emergency medical Services since 2006; first as a volunteer at St John Kenya, then as an Emergency Medical Technician and since2014 as an Emergency Medical service Instructor. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology and French and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Disaster Management and Sustainable Development at Northumbria University in the United Kingdom as a Commonwealth Scholar.
