Raphael Bonnaud

Following 9 years with the French government, Raphaël joined the humanitarian sector 12 years ago. He has worked in Africa, Asia, Pacific and the Caribbean with several organizations (IFRC, French Red Cross, World Food Programme, Médecins du Monde, Action Against Hunger) responding to emergencies in a broad range of contexts, from natural disasters to complex emergencies. A multi-sectoral Disaster Management expert he contributed to the United Nations as an advisor supporting national governments to develop their Disaster Management and emergency assessments capacities. As FACT Team Leader, he recently co-lead the IFRC operations in Nepal, managing more than 200 international staff on a multi-sectoral response. 

 Raphaël has facilitated trainings on emergency response, crisis management as well as simulation exercise in more than 15 countries and is now a trainer/consultant on Emergency Management.

Through his involvement with Relief Applications, he is actively involved in developing innovative solutions for relief operations.
