Stefan Ziegler is a humanitarian practitioner and trainer with over 15 years of experience in the fields of project management, advocacy, communications, research, information management and organisational capacity-building running a training consultancy in Geneva. He trains a wide range of courses, both regular and customised.
He designed training courses for IFRC and UNDP, headed the OSCE regional reporting unit in Eastern Ukraine. Until 2013 he managed UNRWA’s Barrier Monitoring Unit in the West Bank. Prior to the UN he worked for the ICRC.
He lectures at universities and gave presentations at the EU Parliament and UN HQs in New York and Geneva. Stefan holds a M.A. in International Studies and a Postgraduate Diploma in Humanitarian Assistance. He published widely with UNOCHA and UNRWA. His latest article appeared in Humanitarian Assistance in West Africa and Beyond.
Stefan is a member of RedR since 2009 and serves as interviewer of new members as well as trainer of interviewers.
