Tony Dines has worked around the world and across many cultures, developing organisations and individuals to increase their effectiveness. Qualified and working initially as a teacher in Africa, Tony then pursued a distinguished management career first in the police service and for the last twenty-two years in international relief and development.
As a Regional Director for six African country programmes, he led an expansive strategic development process, managing a large cross-cultural team, ultimately responsible for 360 staff. He has also led programmes as Country Director in Tanzania and Indonesia.
He trains humanitarian workers in operational and organisational competence, supporting teams in Sri Lanka, the north-western territories of Pakistan, India, Vietnam, Kenya, Jordan, Zimbabwe, Jamaica, Sierra Leone, among others.
Tony has been a RedR Associate Trainer for several years.
