Suitable for:

This Arabic language course is aimed at non upper-management humanitarian workers who are interested in learning skills in connection to promoting staff welfare pre and post critical incidents.

Course covers:

By the end of the course participants will be able to understand:

  • The definition of stress and it’s impact on work environments
  • Positive coping strategies
  • Peer Support in the workplace
  • Communication and Active Listening
  • Role and impact of Critical Incidents on staff welfare and functioning
  • Introduction to Psychological First Aid
  • Phases of supportive response in the workplace to critical incidents
  • Support after a critical incident
  • Self-care

 

Course outcomes:

 

The training program will be interactive and participatory. The initial traiing will be three days and participants will receive a workbook with training materials to facilitate their learning process. In addition to a certificate of attendance. Participants will have the opportunity to attend further sessions focused on providing the concept of Peer Support in their organisations on an on-going basis.

Cost:

The cost is SDG 330 for International NGOs, and SDG 165 for National NGOs.
