Agency employed security guards

Course covers:

By the end of the course participants will be able to:

  • Specify the guards role
  • Describe how image and acceptance and interpersonal communication is important to a guards role
  • Describe what the threats are to you & your work and identify ways to reduce the threat
  • Describe correct VHF Communications Procedure in the context of guard stations
  • Conduct site roving patrol
  • Display the guest and vistor procedures
  • Display the correct procedure of searching people, property and vehicles
  • Describe the procedure for handover for another security guard
  • Recording and logging of people and vehicles
  • Describe or display what to do in a basic emergency situation (fire, accident, incident intruder) 

 

Course outcomes:

 

This 1 day training course aims to improve the understanding of the role of guards, for the guards themselves and to ensure the standardised practices of keeping sites and people safe with procedural responses to both standard and emergency situations.

Cost:

110 SDG per day for (International NGOs) 55 SDG per day (National NGOs)
