Distance Management Workshop

In emergency situations managing effectively is one of the most important skills for your organisation.  Successful distance management is 90% about the people issues and 10% about the new technology.

Suitable for:
Those who are new to managing remote teams in a relief or emergency setting, or those who have already been in a management role but would like some theory or new tools to complement their experience.
Course covers:

This course aims to assist in identifying roles, responsibilities, and relationships in teams working remotely and developing tools for engaging and valuing remote staff.

 

Participants will examine how to establish strong working relationships and how to demonstrate accountability and measure performance.  The course is a combination of theory and practical group exercises.

 

The course will be held at the RedR venue in Vauxhall, London, and registration will take place at 09.00 hrs.  Training will begin at 09.30 hrs and finish at 17.30 hrs.

Course outcomes:

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Define the concept of distance management.
  • Develop methods of building trust between remote teams.
  • Identify roles, responsibilities, and relationships in teams working remotely.
  • Establish communication and reporting protocols in a distance management environment.
  • Develop tools to assist in applying effective management practices to the remote environment.

 

Cost:
Details of the course fees are below. The fee includes all training and training materials, morning and afternoon breaks and lunch on each day. Participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodation if required and their travel to and from the venue.
