This fourth module focuses on developing a CBDRM plan using a participatory process.
Course Content:
• Introduction to the CBRM planning
• Introduction to Community Based Participatory Planning techniques
• Shared community visioning: obstacles / risk analysis
• Developing strategic action plan
• Actor / stakeholder analysis
• Resource analysis
• Drafting a community action plan
At the end of this module, participants will:
• Understand the context, importance and application of participatory practices in developing a CBDRM plan
• Understand and apply the participatory tools and techniques used in community based planning (VOSA
technique)
• Discuss types of CBDRM planning and the relationship with development planning
• Draft a simple community action plan for DRM
