Want to do something for RedR but not sure if a big event like the Virgin London Marathon is quite right for you? Not to worry, there are hundreds of other ways you can help raise funds for RedR. You can dye your hair, organise a raffle, go skydiving, cycle across America, have a cake sale, or have a party…the possibilities are endless.
It’s easy: choose something that you like, maybe a comedy show or concert. Invite your family, friends and social networks to join you and ask for donations instead of charging for entry. This is an easy way to encourage your friends and family to get involved and will provide a perfect platform for you to raise awareness and funds for RedR.
The money you raise will make a real difference in helping our work to improve the effectiveness of disaster relief, by training relief workers and providing skilled professionals to humanitarian programmes worldwide.
Whatever the activity or event you organise or take part in to raise funds for RedR, we will provide help, support and encouragement.
Thank you for wanting to organise or take part in an event in support of RedR. Here are some examples on what you can help us achieve by raising money for our work. Every donation, no matter what the amount, will help us ensure that ensure that relief workers are not only available to respond to major rapid onset emergencies like Haiti, but that they will provide the best possible response.
£30 could give expert advice to two relief workers in remote locations through RedR’s Technical Support Service.
£100 could pay for us to quickly identify the most suitable person available for immediate deployment when the next emergency happens.
£300 could fund a days’ training for 15 Sudanese relief workers.
"[we] have chosen to support RedR because it is one of the most active charities in the UK. RedR's action is worldwide, transparent and recognised."

On 27 March 2010, a group of over 40 cyclists undertook 50 miles, 15 walkers and 4 dogs covered a 15 mile route, and 2 cyclists completed 10 miles for the London to Haiti Challenge. A total of 2345 miles were travelled cumulatively by the group and over £7000 has been raised by the participants for the RedR programme in Haiti.
We would like to thank Elliott Wood Partnership for organising the event, and all participants for their superb performance.
