RedR is delighted to announce its 2007 conference: Future Shocks: disasters and relief in a changing world.

RedR's Patrons and corporate supporters were delighted to receive recognition from HRH at a drinks reception held at the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) on Wednesday evening.

RedR is launching its new brand to reflect its dynamic new strategy and to further its work within the humanitarian sector. The rebrand includes a new logo that is modern, flexible and intended to make the international development charity instantly recognisable and to attract new supporters.

On Sunday 22 April 2007, ten runners took on the Flora London Marathon in support of RedR. They faced the 26.2 mile course around central London to raise money for the charity that provides training to individuals and organisations involved in humanitarian and disaster relief programmes around the world.

RedR has been recognised by the United Nations as a leading agency in the area of Water and Sanitation.

Martin McCann has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of RedR-IHE. Martin will be taking up his post from the 15 January with the aim of building upon the achievements of the organisation and developing its long term strategy.

DFID have confirmed their continued funding and commitment to RedR-IHE's Programme in Sudan. The Safety and Security Learning Programme will run from November 2006 to April 2007 with the aim of equipping aid workers in Darfur with the skills and knowledge to better manage safety and security in their organisations.
