A Member of RedR UK since 1994, Tim’s first humanitarian relief assignment was with Oxfam GB in the Rwandan refugee camps in Goma, Eastern DRC, in late 1994 to early 1995 as Technical Team Leader.
During the following 5 years took a number of further assignments with Oxfam but also with UNHCR, MFS(F) and Mercy Corps as a Water Engineer and in a wide range of technical roles in the DRC, Rwanda, the Balkans, Bolivia and Pakistan.
Area of interest
Prior to working in Humanitarian Relief he worked with civil engineering consultants Acer in Birmingham, UK, largely on sewerage and sewage treatment projects with Severn Trent Water. In 2000 he joined the staff of RedR UK as a Senior Training Officer and later became the Training and Learning Manager as RedR UK began to develop its international training programme.
Since 2006 he has been employed by Water & Sanitation for Urban Poor (WSUP) focussed on a number of country programmes aimed at working with service providers to improve water and sanitation services for low income urban communities.
Tim has been a Trustee of RedR UK since 2015
