In 2013, RedR UK launched the 'Ready to Respond' project with the support of Lloyd’s Charities Trust. This innovative project aimed to increase the ability of individuals and organisations involved in humanitarian action to prepare for and respond to urban emergencies. The project is now in phase two and we are increasing the range of urban capacity-building services we offer to respond to the growing need of the sector. RedR has also developed an online Moodle platform for e-facilitated courses in order to increase access for this programme.
In 2017 we will run the following online urban courses: 'Urban Humanitarianism', 'Shelter in Urban Emergencies', 'Wash in Urban Emergencies'. 'Security in Urban Emergencies' is due to launch in 2018.
We are currently looking for qualified, experienced individuals to join our pool of RedR freelance Associate Trainers to contribute to our programme of capacity-building for urban humanitarianism. Our Associate Trainers are engaged in many ways, including the development of new online training materials, e-facilitation and face to face training.
At the moment RedR is particularly interested in receiving applications from people with experience delivering aid programmes in Urban contexts and/or with expertise in one of the technical sectors within Urban settings (priority on Shelter, WASH or Security).
Associate Trainers must also have experience training either face to face or online. Proven experience of course development is also highly desirable.
If you can demonstrate knowledge and skills in these areas, we would like to hear from you.
Recruitment for this position is rolling.
