Humanitarian Speaker Series | Climate Change and Humanitarian Response

Event

Climate Change is increasingly impacting the scale, magnitude and frequency of environmental disasters, which often affect the most vulnerable populations hardest.

About the Speakers Series

RedR UK has a network of over 1800 carefully selected humanitarian professionals, RedR Members. The speaker series provides an opportunity for the insights that Members and other humanitarians have gained, from recent work or research undertaken in the field, to be shared more widely. The series is aimed at RedR Members, Affiliates, humanitarians working in the sector and professionals and students interested in entering the sector. All are welcome, and the event is completely free.

Climate Change and Humanitarian Response

Our expert panel aims to discuss challenges around climate resilience, response to environmental disasters and concepts of climate justice. Not only is Climate Change increasing the need for humanitarian response, but it is also making it more complicated to effectively respond to disasters. While the global community is starting to recognize the importance of climate protection efforts, there is still a lot of work to be done to truly make an impact. Our expert panel aims to discuss challenges around climate resilience, response to environmental disasters, and concepts of climate justice.

Welcome drinks will commence from 6pm, and the panel discussion will begin at 7pm
