About the role

This post is an exciting opportunity for a fundraiser who wants to combine relationship development with Corporate partners and event logistics while being a part of a creative, fun and supportive team. If you enjoy relationship building, are organised, motivated and have excellent attention to detail, and want to build on your experience and skills in a varied fundraising role, you are what we are looking for!

The post holder will work closely with the Corporate Relations Manager and the wider fundraising team to manage and develop our corporate fundraising portfolio, taking responsibility for a number of key accounts across the engineering, insurance, and other industries. This role will also look after our portfolio of Special events. RedR’s Special Events include receptions and dinners to cultivate our relationships with senior members of our corporate Patron organisations in spectacular venues including Royal Palaces. 


Person Specification

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent, preferably in a relevant subject
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in target driven environment preferably corporate fundraising/special events in a voluntary sector Experience of high level business negotiations and relations through face to face presentations, meetings and networking
  • Experience of securing new corporate partnerships
  • Understanding of the business drivers behind corporate social responsibility
  • Excellent event logistics and project management skills, preferably with experience in coordinating high profile events in the charity sector
  • An understanding of both the fundraising and strategic relationship development purposes of events and an ability to ensure activities meet the objectives of the organisation
  • Excellent relationship management skills including ability to build relationships at all levels through email, phone, meetings, events and presentations
  • Able and comfortable in working at both planning and operational level with excellent attention to detail
  • An enterprising, creative, goal-orientated and can-do-attitude
  • Experience of preparing and managing project budgets
  • Computer literate with excellent MS Office Skills and good database skills
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekend events (time off in lieu is provided) and to work extended hours in the event of the launch of an Emergency Appeal

NB: Having experience to match essential criteria is a must for being shortlisted.



  • Understanding of and commitment to the humanitarian sector
  • Experience of InDesign software
  • Experience of Salesforce database
