About the Role

Every year, hundreds of millions of people around the world are affected by natural disasters and conflict. RedR is an international disaster relief charity which saves lives by giving aid workers the vital skills they need to do their jobs to the highest possible standard. We train thousands of people each year in everything from providing emergency shelter to staying safe in the field, from project management after emergencies to essential water and sanitation skills and more.  RedR has hubs in the UK, Kenya, Sudan and Jordan, and works in over 40 countries each year. 

You will be responsible for provide administrative support the management of our Associate and Member pool, including organising recruitment, the maintaining the database for the pool, and engagement of Associates and Members. You will ensure that Associate and Member applications are processed efficiently and effectively, and that our contact database is accurate and up to date. You will also support the engagement of Members and Associate through regular communications and events appropriate to their needs.

You will report to the Associate and Member Coordinator, as part of the Quality and Effectiveness team. As you will be interacting with our Associates and Members on a daily basis, you will have a professional approach to communication and representing RedR.

Job description


  • Able to undertake administrative and logistical task with attention to detail
  • Systematic approach and highly efficient
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in organising events
  • Ability to work with people at all levels and from all backgrounds
  • Good team working skills
  • Good MS Office skills in the use of email, internet, Word and Excel
  • A commitment to the humanitarian mission and values of RedR
  • Cheerful, hands-on and methodical approach


  • Knowledge of the humanitarian sector
  • Experience in working with database software, such as Salesforce.
  • Experience with maintaining websites and professional social media communication
