RedR is delighted to announce the launch of its open 'pop-up' training programme in Ukraine for individuals and organisations operating as part of the humanitarian response. This will begin with the delivery of 6 security courses in Kyiv and Sloviansk.
Aim: To provide an introduction to supporting people in the aftermath of crisis events.
By the end of the workshop participants will:
Understand the principles of PFA
Understand when to use PFA
Know how to provide PFA in emergency settings
What does the course cover?
Registration is from 08.45, and the day ends at 17:30.
After you have registered on the morning, the course begins with an introduction to PFA by looking at responses to critical incidents, the background to PFA and its action principles. Following the break, the course explores administering PFA following a crisis event.
After lunch, the course will move into PFA in practice, using a full group simulation exercise. In the afternoon personal wellbeing and resilience will be discussed, followed by action planning. The last session is reserved for wrapping up the course: recapping the key points, answering any lingering questions, completing course evaluations, and receiving your certificates of completion.
