Do No Harm

ABOUT THE COURSE
The Do No Harm (DNH) concepts are widely used in the humanitarian and development communities and it is one of the best known tools for Peace and Conflict Impact Analysis.

This 2-day, face-to-face training course will help you understand the realities of working in conflict environments and give you the knowledge and skills to deal with the real complexities that arise when providing assistance in conflicts.

What does the course cover?
This workshop aims to build the capacity of the aid workers to apply basic ‘Do No Harm’ principles in their humanitarian work by gaining an introductory knowledge on the ‘Do No Harm’ framework. The course will enable participants to reflect on the potential contribution that the framework can make within their context and improve the quality of relief and development programmes.

Course structure:

Registration is from 0800h, with the course starting at 0830h and concluding by 1700h. The day is broken up into  four sessions, separated by a lunch break and coffee/ tea breaks in the morning and afternoon.

Participants will be actively encouraged to participate in classroom discussions and group work. The trainer will draw on both theoretical and practical knowledge in order to make the experience and learning applicable to the realities of the humanitarian sector.
