RedR UK's Hands-on Weekends provide individuals an interesting and unique first insight into humanitarian work in a practical way. The Hands-on Weekend takes place at Warnham Park, a deer farm in Sussex, South East England. We will set up camp for the weekend, get muddy as we embark on a plethora of disaster relief activities, and join in the humanitarian stories around the campire.
Previously, these weekends have proved to be very popular and always sell out, so reserve your place quickly to ensure you have the chance to:
Meet like-minded people
Learn more about disaster relief
Hear directly from experienced humanitarians
Take part in practical disaster relief workshops
The 2018 weekend will focus on key aspects of Water, Santitation and Hygiene (WASH) in emergencies. Participants will get involved in four practical workshops and hear from speakers about various issues around humanitarian response.
Please note that participants are required to bring their own camping equipment, and lunch for the first day. All other meals and equipment for activities is provided.
More information on workshops and speakers is coming soon!
