Mentoring Skills - Online Facilitated Training
Fees: £175/£250 - Ind/Org
This 3 x 2hr session e-faciliated course will give you an introduction to the basics of mentoring, including: differences between mentoring and coaching; competencies required for being an effective mentor; tips on what not to do; different mentoring models; and identifying the different types of mentoring assistance outlined in Egan's skilled worker model.
The course will be e-faciliated by one of RedR's Assocaite Trainers through the Zoom platform. Resources will be shared before and throughout the course on Moodle; particiapnts will be expected to complete small tasks between each of the sessions.
Course structure: It is compulsory that you attend ALL training sessions. A good internet connection is required.
Session 1: Monday 21st January
Session 2: Wednesday 23rd January
Session 3: Wednesday 30th January
To ensure sessions are scheduled at a favourable times for those attending, exact times of the sessions will be decided closer to the time depending on the varying time zones of the expected participant group
Participants will be actively encouraged to participate indiscussions and group work. The trainer will draw on both theoretical and practical knowledge in order to make the experience and learning applicable to the learner group.
