This Travel Safety course provides crucial knowledge and skills for staff or indivusals making short field visits, or visiting fairly safe locations for longer periods.
The course imparts essential knowledge on assessing and reducing risks through context assessments , awareness of image and perception, interpersonal communications, trip planning and concrete tips for staying safe in vehicles and hotels.
What does the course cover?
Registration is from 09.00, with the course starting at 09.15 and concluding by 17.00. The day is broken up into 7 sessions, separated by a lunch break and coffee/ tea breaks in the morning and afternoon.
Participants will be actively encouraged to participate in classroom discussions and group work. The trainer will draw on both theoretical and practical knowledge in order to make the experience and learning applicable to the realities of the humanitarian sector.
