Dignity for the Displaced

Dignity for the Displaced: Minimum Displacement Site Standards in Ukraine

Displaced people are entitled to dignity, no matter what.

As part of our response to the war in Ukraine, we're pleased to have partnered with IOM to add to efforts of the Ukrainian people to support one another. Although many first responders in Ukraine had little or limited humanitarian background, they were confronted with complex operational and protection issues. Our training has aimed to bolster locally-led principled and effective humanitarian action.

We saw a clear need for this kind of training after our Learning Needs Assessment in April 2022, just a short time after the full-scale invasion began. The research confirmed an urgent demand for rapid contextualised training for actors in Ukraine and neighbouring countries receiving refugees.

This project is now closed. Read about our ongoing response in Ukraine here.
