From our regional hubs, we provide training, tailored support and technical expertise to NGOs, aid workers and communities responding to humanitarian crises.

Our expert support ensures that the people responding to disasters have the skills to do so safely and effectively.

We are present during every stage of the disaster response cycle, from preparedness, to emergency response, to early recovery and reconstruction.

We work in partnership with international and national NGOs, UN agencies, academic institutions, think tanks, governments, and the private sector to improve emergency response at a global level.

What makes RedR UK unique?

  • We are present during every stage of the disaster response cycle, from preparedness, to emergency response, to early recovery and rehabilitation / reconstruction.
  • We have a truly global reach. We work in some of the world’s most disaster-prone countries, providing skills where they are needed most. When it’s impossible for us to be physically present, we find other ways of reaching those who need our training (e.g. coaching, mentoring, and online learning).
  • Our interactive, hands-on training is adapted to the contexts in which it's delivered. Our trainers are experienced humanitarians, and experts in their field.

Key Projects

As well as providing open and tailor-made capacity-building services, RedR UK implements a range of grant-funded projects.

Many of these projects seek to benefit the humanitarian sector as a whole by building capacity at a global level.

Previous Work

Since 1980, we have been involved in the response to many of the gravest humanitarian crises the world has faced, from the 2010 earthquake in Haiti to the 2004 'Boxing Day' tsunami, the ongoing conflict in Syria and the COVID-19 pandemic.
