What are cookies?
A cookie is a small amount of data, which often includes a unique identifier that is sent to your computer or mobile phone browser (e.g. Chrome or Firefox) from a website's computer and is stored on your computer. You can think of cookies as providing a "memory" for the website, enabling it to recognise a user and respond appropriately. A website can only send its own cookie to your browser if your browser's preferences allow it. Each website can only access cookies stored by that specific web domain, meaning that only redr.org.uk can access the cookies set by the redr.org.uk domain.
