This genius plan was concocted by Dr Russ Bromley, Knowledge Transfer Network Advisor, and was fully supported by Amey’s business directors. A questionnaire, called ‘Your Safety First’, was developed in conjunction with Knowledge Transfer Partner Leeds Beckett University. Part of the Target Zero Safety Smart Project, the aim of the questionnaire was to find out how factors such as stress or workload might affect the number of accidents that happen.
Amey’s consulting and rail employees were all invited to fill in the questionnaire, either online or via paper copies, and for each one completed, £1 was donated to RedR. Simples! The window to reply ran from December 2016 to March 2017, and a total of 1,126 questionnaires were sent in.
A sincere thank you goes out to Amey and all those who completed the survey. With support such as Amey's we hope to provide even more vital humanitarian support and training to aid workers, organisations and communities across the world.
