The module supports learners to improve the management of collective centres and other displacement sites
Module description
This module provides an overview of the minimum standards related to site management policies and capacities: mandate, policies and presence (standard 1.1), site lifecycle planning (standard 1.2), and site management agency (SMA) and site management team capacity (standard 1.3). It provides opportunities to discuss the role of the SMA in relation to the displaced population including how the site management team can undertake appropriate and inclusive planning to improve the support they provide. It also considers the key actions they can take to ensure adequate protection and assistance is provided and how to ensure the site management agency team have sufficient capacity to undertake their work effectively.
There are no pre-requisites for this module, but it is recommended that learners are familiar with the purpose and core content of the Minimum Standards before attending the module. Learners who wish to deepen their understanding before participating in this module are encouraged to watch the video 'Supporting displaced populations in the Ukraine humanitarian response: An introduction to the minimum standards for displacement sites' and participate in the module 'Supporting displaced populations in the Ukraine humanitarian response: Using the Minimum Standards in practice'.
This module is a facilitated module which uses participatory methods. It is expected that learners will participate in discussions and activities in order to deepen their understanding of the concepts that are discussed. Participants will be offered opportunities to share relevant personal experiences and reflections to benefit their own and others' learning. At the end of the module, participants will be provided with a summary of key messages from the module and a list of relevant resources.
Module objectives
• Describe the ways in which collective centres or other displacement sites might transition or close,
• Explain the key actions needed to ensure that site populations continue to receive appropriate and timely support and service provision during transition periods,
• Assess possible exit or transition scenarios relevant to your current situation and consider the impacts of each on resident and host communities,
• Describe how to ensure that site closure takes place in a planned and consultative manner, and its impact on any residual site populations is mitigated,
• Explain the importance of anticipating unplanned and spontaneous closure and managing and mitigating its impact on site populations
• Describe the importance of rehabilitation of the site in order to meet the needs of residual populations and host communities while taking into account local regulations and environmental needs,
• Identify actions you will take to prepare for planned or unplanned closure of a site your are working in.
Who should attend?
This module is aimed at anyone who is working or volunteering with displaced people in Ukraine or neighbouring countries who is coordinating or managing a displacement site in the Ukraine humanitarian response.
Course structure
2 x 1 hour facilitated sessions plus 30 minutes break in-between the sessions (delivered using Zoom) TOTAL 150 minutes
How to join
If you would like to attend, please register through Eventbrite. You will receive instructions on how to join the course after registration.
The live online sessions are hosted on Zoom. We recommend joining via the Zoom app. Participants may join the training via a browser, although the browser offers limited access to some of the interactive features of the training. Participants will be expected to have a stable internet connection and to actively participate in all facilitated sessions.
What is the language of the training?
Training will be facilitated by RedR UK international experts in the English language with simultaneous interpretation available in Ukrainian.

Модуль допомагає слухачам покращити управління колективними центрами та іншими місцями переміщення
Опис модуля
Цей модуль надає огляд мінімальних стандартів, пов’язаних з політикою управління та потенціалом місця переміщення: мандат, політика та присутність (стандарт 1.1), планування життєвого циклу сайту (стандарт 1.2), а також спроможність агентства з управління обєктом (SMA) та команди керування сайтом (стандарт 1.3). ). Модуль дає можливість обговорити роль SMA у відношенні переміщеного населення, включаючи те, як команда керівництва об’єкта може здійснити відповідне та інклюзивне планування для покращення підтримки, яку вони надають. Також розглядаються ключові дії, які можна вжити для забезпечення належного захисту та надання допомоги, а також те, як забезпечити команду агентства з управління обєктом достатніми можливостями для ефективної роботи.
Для цього модуля немає жодних попередніх умов. Проте перед відвідуванням цього модуля учасникам рекомендується ознайомитися з метою та основним змістом Мінімальних стандартів. Слухачам, які бажають поглибити своє розуміння, перш ніж брати участь у цьому модулі, пропонується переглянути відео «Підтримка переміщеного населення в рамках гуманітарної допомоги в Україні: Ознайомлення з мінімальними стандартами для місць переміщення» та взяти участь у модулі «Підтримка переміщеного населення в гуманітарна відповідь в Україні: використання мінімальних стандартів на практиці».
Цей модуль є спрощеним модулем, який використовує методи участі. Очікується, що учні братимуть участь в дискусіях та заходах, щоб поглибити своє розуміння концепцій, які обговорюються. Учасникам буде запропоновано можливість поділитися відповідним особистим досвідом та міркуваннями на користь власного навчання та навчання інших. Наприкінці модуля учасникам буде надано короткий виклад ключових повідомлень з модуля та перелік відповідних ресурсів.
Завдання модуля
• Опишіть організаційні обов’язки органів управління місцевістю (SMA) щодо забезпечення постраждалого населення рівного доступу до захисту та допомоги в місці переміщення стільки, скільки це необхідно,
• Перелік ключових дій, які необхідно вжити для забезпечення належного захисту та допомоги протягом усього життєвого циклу сайту, від створення до закриття,
• Опишіть важливість забезпечення оперативних і технічних можливостей команд управління сайтом для управління сайтом,
• Перерахуйте ключові дії, щоб забезпечити менеджерів, персонал і волонтерів достатні можливості для ефективного управління сайтом,
• Оцініть силу та доцільність існуючих політик та можливостей для керування сайтом у вашому власному контексті,
• Визначте дії, які ви будете вживати для посилення політики та потенціалу управління сайтом у вашому контексті.
Хто повинен брати участь?
Цей модуль призначений для тих, хто працює або волонтерить із переміщеними людьми в Україні чи сусідніх країнах і хто координує або керує місцем переміщення в рамках гуманітарної допомоги в Україні.
Структура курсу
Дві одногодинні сеанси з фасилитацією плюс 30-хвилинна перерва між сесіями (провадиться за допомогою Zoom), загалом 150 хвилин
