About this course
This module is part of a series of four modules on project cycle management. The four modules are:
- Needs Assessment
- Project Identification and Design
- Project Planning and Implementation
- Monitoring and Evaluation
This module explores the key elements of planning that need to be undertaken when commencing a project: scope, time, resource, stakeholder and risk. It provides an overview of key tools that can be used for planning projects and allows learners the opportunity to consider ways to improve project planning processes to ensure that project implementation is smooth.
The module is contextualised for Ukraine and its neighbouring countries receiving refugees.
The module is a live session that will take place on zoom. The session provides opportunities for learners to actively participate in the session and to apply the learning to their own context.
By the end of the session you will be able to:
- Explain the purpose of the project planning and implementation phases of the project cycle.
- Describe the purpose and key tools used for planning, implementing and monitoring project scope, time, resources and stakeholder management.
- List the steps involved in risk management.
- Identify risk management strategies.
