  • SIIM Project Handbook Launches

We are pleased to announce the launch of Version 1.1 of the Security Incident Information Management (SIIM) Handbook.

To celebrate the launch, the European Interagency Security Forum (EISF) hosted an event at the Christian Aid offices near Waterloo on Wednesday, 14th June.

The event was well attended and included a panel discussion chaired by RedR Programmes Director Charlie Dalrymple.

This is an exciting time for us as the Handbook is a key output of the SIIM project and forms the basis of the coaching and trainings that we’ll be holding over the coming year. It has been developed in partnership with Insecurity Insight, EISF and security specialists from various organisations who form the SIIM Advisory Group.

The Handbook contains guidance on how organisations can develop or improve their security information management processes. Work on it is still ongoing; Version 1.1 is available now, and the final version will launch in September. It will be available in English, French and Arabic to ensure maximum impact on the humanitarian sector.
