The module is split into two sessions, beginning with the foundational concepts for humanitarian coordination and culminating in individual action plans to enhance the coordination of the response. In session one, there is an overview of the purpose of humanitarian coordination, and participants map the different mechanisms in place for coordination to the Ukraine crisis. Common challenges to coordination are identified, along with examples of promising practices to address them. In session two, participants examine some of the practical tools used to coordinate humanitarian action on the ground and across different sectors. Using interactive discussion and exercises, participants define the ways that they can support coordination of the response.
