This module is part of a series of four modules on project cycle management. The four modules are:

  • Needs Assessment
  • Project Identification and Design
  • Project Planning and Implementation
  • Monitoring and Evaluation

This module explores the purpose of monitoring and evaluating a project, and when these activities take place in the project cycle. It defines key concepts including goals, outcomes, outputs and activities, indicators and means of verification. The module is contextualised for Ukraine and its neighbouring countries receiving refugees, and is designed to support learners to apply practical considerations in their work to support effective monitoring, evaluation and reporting.

The module is a live session that will take place on zoom. The session provides opportunities for learners to actively participate in the session and to apply the learning to their own context.

To review key aspects of monitoring and evaluation within the context of project cycle management

Module Objectives

By the end of the session you will be able to:

  • Explain the purpose of monitoring and evaluation, the differences between them and when they take place in the project cycle
  • Describe what outcomes, indicators and means of verification are
  • Identify appropriate indicators and means of verifications to monitor and evaluate project outcomes
  • Identify practical considerations to support effective monitoring, evaluation and reporting. 

Course structure

The module comprises a live facilitated session of 60 minutes’ duration

TOTAL 60 minutes

Participants will be asked to watch a short video prior to the live sessions.

Who should attend?

Anyone responding to the humanitarian needs of people affected by the conflict inside and outside Ukraine, who would like to know more about how to monitor and evaluate a project. This is a beginner level course.

This course is offered for free; on a first come, first served basis. We will be creating a waiting list, so please email us if the course is already full so we can keep you in mind if anybody drops out.

How to join

If you would like to attend, please register through Eventbrite. You will receive instructions on how to join the course after registration.

The live online sessions are hosted on Zoom. We recommend joining via the Zoom app. Participants may join the training via a browser, although the browser offers limited access to some of the interactive features of the training. Participants will be expected to have a stable internet connection and to actively participate in all facilitated sessions.

What is the language of the training?

Training will be facilitated by RedR UK international experts in the English language with simultaneous interpretation available in Ukrainian.

Hpass badge

Zarządzanie cyklem projektu: Monitorowanie i ocena projektu 

Ten moduł jest częścią serii czterech modułów na temat zarządzania cyklem projektu. Te cztery moduły to:

  • Ocena potrzeb
  • Identyfikacja i opracowanie projektu
  • Planowanie i implementacja projektu
  • Monitorowanie i ocena projektu

Ten moduł skupia się na celowości monitorowania i oceny projektu oraz tym, kiedy te działania mają miejsce w cyklu projektu. Definiujemy tu główne koncepcje, w tym cele, zakładane wyniki, działania do wdrożenia i czynności, wskaźniki i sposoby weryfikacji. Moduł przedstawiany jest w kontekście Ukrainy i krajów sąsiadujących, które przyjmują uchodźców. Opracowano go tak, żeby uczestnicy mogli praktycznie zastosować te informacje w swojej pracy i efektywnie monitorować, oceniać i przekazywać informacje o wynikach projektu.

Ten kurs odbywa się na sesji na żywo online na platformie zoom. Uczestnicy mają możliwość brania aktywnego udziału w sesji oraz zastosowania nowych informacji w swoim własnym kontekście.

Cel modułu

Przegląd kluczowych aspektów monitorowania i oceny w kontekście zarządzania cyklem projektu. 

Czego nauczy ten moduł

W czasie modułu uczestnicy nauczą się:

  • Wyjaśnić cel monitorowania i oceny, różnice między nimi oraz kiedy należy ich dokonywać w czasie cyklu projektu
  • Wyjaśnić, czym są wyniki, wskaźniki i sposoby weryfikacji
  • Wskazać odpowiednie wskaźniki i sposoby weryfikacji, aby monitorować i ocenić wyniki projektu
  • Wskazać praktyczne zagadnienia, które mogą wspierać efektywne monitorowanie, ocenę i przekazywanie informacji o wynikach projektu. 

Struktura kursu

Moduł składa się z 60-minutowej sesji na żywo ze szkoleniowcem.

Kto powinien wziąć udział?

Każdy, kto angażuje się w pomoc humanitarną dla osób dotkniętych konfliktem przebywających na Ukrainie lub poza, a chce dowiedzieć się więcej na temat tego, jak monitorować i oceniać projekt. Ten kurs jest dla początkujących.

Po zakończeniu kursu uczestnicy będą mogli ubiegać się o Znak HPass, czyli cyfrową plakietkę, dzięki której można zasygnalizować posiadanie danych umiejętności i doświadczeń w sektorze pomocy humanitarnej.
