Coaching Workshop Uganda (Corporate Partners)

Develop your capacity as coaches, and prepare to conduct distance coaching sessions for engineers in Uganda.

The overall aim of this training session is to introduce participants to the Humanitarian Skills for Engineers project and the role of corporate partners coaches in the project, and develop participants' capacity to delivery distance coaching sessions for engineers in Uganda.

Objectives

At the end of this session you will be able to:

  • Explain the characteristics and skills of an effective coach
  • Use feedback and coaching to provide professional guidance
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of cross-cultural communication skills in the context of coaching
  • List promising practices for conducting coaching sessions at a distance

Course Structure

This course is an online learning programme comprising of one 3 hour session, delivered on Zoom.

Who should attend?

Corporate partner representatives who will be delivering coaching as part of the Humanitarian Skills for Engineers programme in Uganda.

Where is it hosted?

The live online sessions are hosted on Zoom. We recommend joining via the Zoom app. Participants may join the training via a browser, although the browser offers limited access to some of the interactive features of the training. Participants will be expected to have a stable internet connection and to actively participate in all facilitated sessions. Participants will receive instructions on how to join the course after registration.
